(1)有人认为学生的成绩应该由考试来定;
(2)有人认为学生的成绩应该由学习态度和课堂表现来定;
(3)我的看法。
When it comes to students'grade, people can never agree with each other.
Some argue that students'grade should be determined by their test results, for such a yardstickis more objective. In this way, the focus of teaching is oriented to the preparation for tests. Andthus, every point counts. On the other hand, others hold the opinion that it is students'attitudestowards study and their performance in class that should determine students'grade.
As far as I am concerned, I support the latter opinion. The goal of teaching is to cultivatestudents' study habit and develop their interest in learning instead of preparing them for tests. Thetest is just a measure to check how effectively students study. Only when a student has a properattitude and active class involvement can we say that he understands what study really means.
In conclusion, as learning is more of a process than a result, students'grade should bedetermined by their attitude and daily performance.
