无At the present time, parents and children find it more and more difficult to communicate with each other because of the generation gap. In order to deal with such problem we should firstly know how it came into being.
From my perspective, the ever-changing world is the “crime culprit” of a generation gap, as parents are 20 to 30 years older than their kids, during this time the world could develop millions of new technologies and inventions, which usually take parents some time to understand and accept, but are easy to learn for us, the most vivid example is Internet. Besides, this problem should be ascribed to the lack of communication between these 2 groups, and sadly this is caused by generation gap, it is a vicious circle.
So in order to narrow this gap, we should take these causes in account. First of all it is impossible to slow the pace of social development, so with the world still changing in high speed, we should try our best to please both parents and children with new stuff, especially parents, since they are more traditional. Sometimes their own children can be their teachers in helping them to accept new things, this will not only make the changing world easier for them to understand, but also increase their frequency of communicating, thus we can reverse that vicious circle and turn it into virtuous one.
But there is one thing that we should not ignore, as parents sacrifice their time to adapt themselves to new era, children should also do something to show their determination in narrowing this gap, just as I mentioned above, they can teach all these popular things to their parents, but they must have patience, if they are too impatient to explain for their parents, some conflicts will be produced.
To sum up, the resolution of this problem requires both sides’ efforts, as well as their hope to change the actual situation.
