【正确答案】My Idea of Professional Ethics for a Scientist
As a distinguished scientist, two factors that enable him to success are great learning and creativity. However, it is not sufficient to possess these two qualities. The most significant quality is good professional ethics.
In my opinion, the following aspects will account for whether a scientist takes possession of good professional ethics. Firstly, whatever an outstanding scientist does, he never considers whether it will bring him interests. Conversely, he'll do his utmost to bring benefits to the general public. In order to raise the living standards of people and make our world a better place to live in, he would devote himself to the advancement of technology.Secondly, a respectable scientist should instruct young people selflessly, offer help to those who have troubles in works, and keep good relation with other scientists. During scientific research, mutual good communication and cooperation is rather significant. On the basis of trust, great scientific achievements will be gained. Furthermore, a good scientist should be loyal to his scientific work and respect the work of others. Never should he allow himself to have some behaviors, such as making up research findings, copying from others. Finally, a scientist shoulders great duties so he must be responsible to the society and himself. When making decisions, he should insure that these decisions are the result of countless tests but not in haste.
All in all, an excellent scientist with good professional ethics will bring people large benefits and eventually win the respect of all.
