Husband: Ok, I'll help when
I've finished my tea. Look, I keep meaning to say to you we’ve really got to
decide where we're going to stay when we're on holiday.
Wife:
You're right. If we want to book a caravan, we mustn't leave it till to
late.
Husband: A caravan !
Wife: Yes, Sally -- a
girl at work -- was telling me about this beautiful place they went to last
year, near the sea. It's quite cheap and the week's rent includes electricity
and everything.
Husband: But that' d be almost like camping --
living in the middle of a field... I think we should go for bed and breakfast;
it'd be much more comfortable.
Wife: But Sally said these
caravans are lovely and clean and modem. We can cook the sort of food we like,
so we'll save money on that...
Husband: And waste time shopping
and washing up when we' re on holiday ! And have to go across the wet grass to
have a shower!
Wife: Oh, no, these caravans have showers and
everything in them -- they're really luxurious. And we wouldn't get a private
bathroom in the sort of bed an breakfast accommodation we can afford. I
bet!
Husband: You seem to have forgotten that I've just had a
pay rise! And I don't want us to be shopping and cooking and cleaning when we
should be relaxing and having a good time.
Wife: (pleased)Well,
if you're really sure -- it would be lovely to have everything done for us for a
change...
