I think one of the main problems with today"s education is that too much emphasis is placed on test scores. For example, if you are a pupil in the primary school and want to go on to study in the middle school, your fate will be decided by the text score. The competition for high scores among students becomes intense. Students recite everything to get high scores. They do endless exercises; they learn on Sunday, in all their vactaion, not for knowledge but for high scores. In their mind, there is nothing else but high scores.
Teachers are apt to give the students high scores. That"s natural, for their ability of teaching is measured by the scores their students get.
