Change is the Word That Has Changed the World

As the Marxism says, everything is in movement, change, and development. The word “change” has played an important role in the development of human society. Without change, there will be no innovation, and human society will only stop or even go backwards. I will start my discussion mainly from three aspects: economy, culture and infrastructure.

First of all, we need to recognize that the fruitful and gratifying results that economic globalization now has achieved are inseparable from the joint efforts of people of all countries. The countries of the world respect each other's economic policies, conduct economic trade under the premise of strictly following the international rules and regulations, and seek win-win results through friendly negotiation. However, we still remember the suffering brought about by the WWⅠ and WWⅡ for benefits. How many people have lost their precious lives? How many people have been displaced? How many people have been unable to care for themselves for the rest of their lives due to the severe injuries? It is the change of the social environment, the change of political and economic policies, and the change of people's ideas that bring about the prosperity and development of the economy and the unstoppable economic globalization.

In terms of culture, I would like to use China as an example. At present, China upholds the principle of “selecting the essence and discarding the dregs” of the cultures all over the world. However, nobody can deny the fact that the government of Qing dynasty was so blindly arrogant that it adopted a policy of seclusion, which hampered China's progress and its exchanges with the outside world. If the national leaders fail to grasp the general direction of national development in the midst of change, then China will not achieve the current achievements.

High-speed rail is a good example of changes in infrastructure development. The indigenously developed high-speed rail promotes not only the upgrade of China's transportation facilities, but also promotes that of foreign transportation facilities. The high-speed rail has reduced the distance between places, facilitate people's travel and improve people's quality of life. In addition, the economic cooperation brought by highspeed rail has brought China closer to other countries.

To sum up, we can see that changes exist in all aspects of life, affecting people's lives, social progress and communication between countries.
