My View on Terrorist Activities in Some Countries
Nowadays, terrorist activities are more and more rampant in almost every part of the world. The phrase "terrorist activities" invokes images of furtive organizations fight and left, whose members blow up buildings and cars, hijack airplanes, murder innocent people, rape women., set buildings on fire in some countries. The concept of terrorist activities captured my special attention in an incident that threw the whole world into great panic. It was Sept. 11th Incident that took place in New York, the United States. In the incident, World Trade Building fell into rain after being exploded by some terrorists headed by Laden.
After the incident, President Bush delivered a speech on TV. He said, "This is a national tragedy. I have ordered that all the resources of the Federal government be mobilized to help victims and their families. A thorough investigation should be conducted to search for the head of the terrorists."
Why are terrorist activities so rampant? In my opinion, they never happen in vacuum. They are radical responses to social realities. All the terrorist activities that took place in the United States indicate that terrorists are discontent with the United States.
To prevent more terrorist activities from happening, all the countries in the world should cooperate with each other to place terrorism and their activities under surveillances, ff terrorism act willfully, they should be severely punished.
China is also against terrorism. Our government is taking some severe measures to combat terrorists. This is undoubtedly good for Chinese people's safety and happiness. I entirely uphold our government's position on fighting terrorism.

Terrorism has been growing into one of the most serious public hazards since the end of 1960s, which threatens people's lives as well as property all around the world and jeopardizes public order.
During 1968～1997, global terrorist activities presented wavelike rise and decline, the sum of all incidents was 15386, and that of average annual incidents was 513. The annual incidents waved from 142 to 850, and the average annual rate of growth was 2.66 percent. In all 40885 persons were killed or wounded during 1968 - 1997, with 9562 death.
Terrorism has a deep root in itself. As for the domestic causes, it involves typically the economic contradictions(poverty, unemployment), class contradictions, national contradictions, religions contradictions, political contradictions, social contradictions, and culture contradictions, etc. As for the international causes, it analyses emphatically the contradictions between the Arab countries and Israel, the contradictions between America and the Islamic world, the West-East contradictions, and the North, South contradictions. The hegemony of America is an important root, while the economic gap between the North and South enlarging constantly is one of the most foundational sources of international terrorism.
Governments all attach high importance to anti-terrorism. They set up anti-terrorism special armed commando, put prevention first, reinforce entirely the preventive safe work, enhance vigorously the intelligence work of anti-terrorism, make great efforts to put down many terrorist activities in the plotted stage, strengthen the detection work, try hard to unearth the terrorism base in time and arrest the terrorists. They also enhance public relations work to reduce the disturbance and lead public opinion to the right way and strengthen international anti-terrorism cooperation.
On the issue of terrorism, our government is leading a good example. We absolutely oppose all forms and all reasons of terrorism and punish any form of terrorism. We appeal to come down with both feet against the double standards on the issues of terrorism, understand justly the causes of terrorism and struggle to eliminate the roots of terrorism. We absolutely oppose hegemonic countries to intervene other nation's interior affairs on the pretence of anti-terrorism. And enhance global cooperation on the base of respecting each other's sovereignty.
