Interlocutor: Good morning (afternoon/evening). Could I
have your mark sheets please? Thank you (Hand over the mark sheets to the

you any questions, but he/she is just going to be listening to us.
So, your name is... and...? Thank you. First of all we'd
like to know something about you, so I'm going to ask you some questions about
yourselves. (Begin with Candidate A, then move on to Candidate B) Now... (Say
the name of the Candidate A and ask questions.)
【正确答案】E: Candidate A, are you from the North?
A: Yes. I'm from Harbin, Heilongjiang Province.
E: What are the differences in accent between the people of your hometown and Beijing?
A: Well, the accent in Beijing has a very strong "errr" sound at the end of words. We don't have that much in my hometown. Besides, some of the tones are different, and there're some slight differences in pronunciation. For example, in Beijing, people say "shui" for "water", but in my hometown, we say "sui". Those might be the main differences.
E: Do you have any hobbies? What are they?
A: Yes. I like sports. I'm a basketball fan, even though I'm not very good at playing basketball myself. I love to watch the NBA on TV whenever I get a chance. I play table tennis and volleyball whenever I can. I also enjoy listening to music and seeing new films.
E: Thank you. Now, Candidate B, which city do you come from?
B: I come from Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province. It's famous for its beautiful scenery. There're a lot of tourists in my hometown every season.
E: What's the weather like there in summer?
B: It's very hot there in summer. The temperature is as high as 40 degrees centigrade. But we are used to that and we can enjoy ourselves in swimming. I like swimming very much.
E: Are you married?
B: Yes. I got married six years ago, and we now have a daughter of four years old.
E: What does your family often do at weekend?
B: On Saturdays, I take my daughter to take piano lessons, and my wife usually does some washing at home. On Sundays, we often go to the suburbs to enjoy some fresh air and usually have a picnic in the open.
