单选题 Need a tablet that can handle the demands of family life? Astak aims to please with the Neos tablet-top, a versatile, albeit pricey, device that can sit upright at an easy-to-view angle on a kitchen counter and even withstand the inevitable spilled drink. The tablet's 5-megapixel camera can be tilted, allowing you to snap photos and record videos at different angles. Its two 5-watt speakers are powerful enough to share a favorite song with your family while its 15.6-inch touch-screen display with a resolution of 1,366 by 768 pixels can be set up for a two-player game. Powered by the Android 4.11 Jelly Bean operating system, the tablet includes Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth technology, a USB port and a SD/MMC card reader. It costs about $500. You can keep track of the temperature of the steak you threw on the grill with the iGrillmini Bluetooth smart meat thermometer. Compact enough to hold in one hand, the thermometer has a magnetic mount so you can easily attach it to the side of a grill or a smoker. Using the included apps and probe, the thermometer can send updates to an iPhone or iPad via a wireless Bluetooth signal that automatically connects to your device when it's within a 150-foot range. It also has a LED display that provides updates on the food's doneness. The iDevices thermometer is set to ship in mid-December for about $40. The Portable Charging Folio Mini can keep your tablet and other gadgets charged up and ready to go. The folio case includes a built-in USB charging hub with four ports and an AC adapter with a 4-foot cable. Side snaps provide easy access to ports and cables and an elastic bungee system helps keep cables organized. Available in gray or black with a marbled felt fabric, the folio case from AViiQ costs about $ 80. Need even more juice? The company also makes a Portable Charging Folio with battery for $150. An origami-like folding cover lets you position the iPad Air to suit your viewing needs: portrait mode for reading a book and landscape mode for watching a video. When the iPad is in transit, a soft microfiber cover shields its display while a polycarbonate casing protects it from scratches and shocks. The case also has built-in magnets that support the iPad's auto-wake and sleep features. Priced at $60, Moshi's VersaCover iPad Air Stand Case with Origami Cover is available in green, blue, pink and gray.

单选题 In a family where the roles of men and women are not sharply separated and where many household tasks are shared to a greater or lesser extent, notions of male superiority are hard to maintain. The pattern of sharing in tasks and in decision makes for equality and this in turn leads to further sharing. In such a home, the growing boy and girl learn to accept equality more easily than did their parents and to prepare more fully for participation in a world characterized by cooperation rather than by the "battle of the sexes". If the process goes too far and man's role is regarded as less important—and that has happened in some cases—we are as badly off as before, only in reverse. It is time to reassess the role of the man in the American family. We are getting a little tired of "Momism" — but we don't want to exchange it for a "neo-Popism". What we need, rather, is the recognition that bringing up children involves a partnership of equals. There are signs that psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and specialists on the family are becoming more aware of the part men play and that they have decided that women should not receive all the credit—nor the blame. We have almost given up saying that a woman's place is in the home. We are beginning, however, to analyze man's place in the home and to insist that he does have a place in it. Nor is that place irrelevant to the healthy development of the child. The family is a co-operative enterprise for which it is difficult to lay down rules, because each family needs to work out its own ways for solving its own problems. Excessive authoritarianism (命令主义) has unhappy consequences, whether it wears skirts or trousers, and the ideal of equal rights and equal responsibilities is pertinent (相关的,切题的) not only to a healthy democracy, but also to a healthy family.
