摘要
中国学者的国际发表问题在近年来引起了国内外学者广泛而持续的关注(束定芳,2018)。本研究以70篇国内英语期刊论文和70篇国际期刊论文的结论部分为语料,对比分析了中国学者和国际学者使用立场表述建构作者身份的特征。研究发现,与国际学者相比,中国学者较少使用站位性立场表述和互动性立场表述。中国学者使用自我指称语和态度标记语的频率均比国际学者低,表明作者呈现程度较低。中国学者较少使用读者代词、疑问句、祈使句和诉诸共有知识等语言策略来与读者互动。本文从作者的母语文化背景、宏观社会文化语境和社团文化语境对结果进行了讨论。本研究对中国学者的国际发表以及未来的二语学术写作教学有一定启示。
The issue of Chinese scholars’ international publishing has aroused wide and constant concern among researchers at home and abroad in recent years(Shu, 2018). Based on two specialized corpora consisting of 70 English research articles published in domestic journals and another 70 English research articles published in international journals, this study makes a contrastive analysis of the use of stance in the construction of writer identity between Chinese scholars and international scholars. Results show that compared with their international counterparts, Chinese scholars use significantly fewer stances as self-positioning and stances as interaction. Significantly fewer self-mentions and attitude markers are found in English journal articles written by Chinese scholars, indicating a lower level of author presence. Moreover, fewer reader pronouns, questions, imperatives and appeals to shared knowledge are used by Chinese scholars to interact with readers. The results are discussed in relation to the cultural background of the authors, the sociocultural context and the culture of community. The findings have implications for Chinese scholars’ international publishing and second language academic writing pedagogy.
