Objective To compare the ability of Waterlow assessment scale and Braden assessment scale to predict pressure injury in severe patients in our hospital. Methods Two evaluation scales were used for the independent and continuous evaluation of 202 patients with severe diseases, and the predictors of the two evaluation scales were compared. Results 193 cases were included as effective samples from 202 critically ill patients, the effective rate was 95.54%,the incidence rate of pressure injury was 4.66%.Among which, the first evaluation of the Waterlow scale showed high predictive indexes, the positive predictive value of sensitivity and specificity and the negative predictive value and Youden index and Kappa value were respectively 100%,90.76%,34.62%,100%90.76%,47.81%,and the area under the ROC curve was 0.959(0.930-0.988).Conclusion Waterlow assessment scale contains the risk factors of pressure injury related to the disease of severe patients has a good ability to predict pressure injury in ICU patients in our hospital,it is more applicable to ICU patients.
