The guideline of promoting the development of national undertakings for the aged and improving the elderly care service system during the 14th Five-Year Plan period emphasizes the urgent need to establish a meal assistance service system for the elderly,which includes innovating and diversifying meal assistance service models and guiding more market forces,including food delivery platforms,to participate in meal assistance and delivery services.In this context,digital meal assistance services for the elderly has emerged,aiming to allow the elderly to easily purchase suitable meals through online platforms.The article deeply analyzes the current situation and importance of digital meal assistance services,and further explores its usage characteristics,including service models,user demands and so on.The article conducts an analysis of the influencing factors from multiple dimensions such as age,education level,and economic status.It also puts forward a series of countermeasures and suggestions,such as increasing policy support and promotion efforts,improving service quality and efficiency,enriching service content and scope,and promoting technological innovation and application.Through these measures,it is expected to promote China's digital meal assistance services for the elderly to a higher level.
