Marine plankton is a complex and large biome, with various species and large quantities, has important scientific research value and practical significance for marine environmental, ecology, fisheries, and oceanographic basic research. Here we present a system named OUC-HoloCam200, which capable of non-invasively imaging planktons and particles in situ at nearly micrometre resolution. OUC-HoloCam200 is based on digital holography technology, which has the advantages of high precision and large depth of field, and is compact and highly integrated, making it easy to mount on various underwater observation platforms. It can play a certain role in the development of marine biology, ocean optics, marine environmental monitoring and other fields. OUC-HoloCam200 have been deployed in the nearshore area of South China Sea and have worked continuously over 48 h, during the sea trial, more than 54 thousand high-quality in-situ holograms had been recorded.
