摘要
"紫石英"号事件,是中共在建国前夕与英国之间意外发生的一次军事和外交的碰撞。一方面,英国政府这时仍与国民党政府保持着外交关系,中共方面拒绝承认其外交人员,双方只能通过前线军事人员进行较低层级的接触和交涉;另一方面,英国国内政党之间,包括其政府内部始终存在不同意见,相关争论动辄见诸报端,也不时干扰着中共中央对事件性质的认识,并直接导致中共中央几度变更对被扣镇江附近江面的英舰"紫石英"号的处置方针。
The present author contends that,on the one hand,both sides could only negotiate through low-level military officers due to the London regime’s maintaining diplomatic relations with Guomindang and the CPC’s irrecognition of British foreign service officers;and on the other hand,conflicting ideas existing in the London regime disturbed the CPC’s perception of this incident.As a result,there were changes taking place in the CPC’s policies.
