张炜长篇小说中的许多重要角色都患有一种时代性的精神病症,在《艾约堡秘史》中,张炜名之为“荒凉病”,这可谓一种误诊。淳于宝册跟张炜之前小说中的一系列“守护者”并无质的不同。其实,他们都是热病患者。“荒”源于物质文明的疯长,“热”源于不肯退却的抗争与坚守,而“病”正是从二者悖谬的夹缝中滋生和繁衍。医者难自医,对荒凉的世界和冷漠的人群而言,它是病,对身为“病人”的作家而言,它是不可丢弃的良心!
Many important characters in Zhang Wei’s novels suffer from a kind of spiritual illness.In The Secret History of Aiyue Castle,Zhang named it as“desolate disease,”but it is a misdiagnosis.There is no qualitative difference between the series of“guardians”in Zhang Wei’s novels.In fact,they are all bearing some mysterious“illness from wildness and heat”.The“wildness”stems from the madness of material civilization.The“heat”represents the struggle and persistence that refuse to retreat,and the“illness”breeds and multiplies from the gap between the two.It is difficult for doctors to self-medicate.For the desolate world and the indifferent crowd,it is a disease.For writers who are“patients,”it is a non-disposable conscience!
