During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Women’s Field Service Corps was an important organization for women to participate in the war.Realizing the danger the nation was in,women across China were driven by their strong patriotism and inspired by their responsibility for the nation, and they willingly joined the army and devoted themselves to the field service work. The size and composition of women’s battlefield service regiments were different, but they all had strict discipline requirements. They worked diligently and courageously. They made significant contributions to military auxiliary work such as military-civilian contact, health care, air defense, cooking, and publicity.Women on the battlefield broke through the traditional geographical limitations and were active on the front line, displaying their perseverance and bravery and gentleness. To a certain extent, that changed the traditional social stereotype of Chinese women. It was undoubtedly an inspiration and encouragement for the soldiers at the front who were constantly facing fighting, injuries and deaths. However, there were occasionally love affairs, involving the so-called"military discipline"problem, leading to criticism to some women who were forced to leave the frontline.Around 1941,various forms of women’s field service organizations gradually faded away.
