基于HYCOM的珠江口海域表层海流特征分析

摘要 开展珠江口海域海流特征分析,对珠江口海域的自然环境、社会发展和生态保护具有重要意义。本文利用HYCOM提供的一年期表层海流数据,计算了该海域的海流均值,并用EOF分析,得到了海流东分量和北分量的特征,结果表明,珠江口海域存在明显的西边界流,而且从年均海流均值来看,表层流速均值呈现出自东向西加强的状态。3个代表站计算结果显示,H1站位全年表层海流基本上呈现出NNE—SSW走向,H2和H3全年表层海流走向比较杂乱,冬季以SSW向为主,夏季以偏N向为主。EOF分析结果表明,研究区域以第一模态为主,U和V分量均占90%以上。第一模态为南海北部的西边界流,为自东向西走向,第二和第三模态均揭示了斜压流特性,但是其值有正有负,表明不同海域的斜压流的方向并不一致。 Characterization of the current in Pearl River Estuary is of great significance to its natural environment,social development and ecological protection.In this study,we calculated the average current of the area using one-year surface current data provided by HYCOM,and obtained the current component of the east and north component characteristics through EOF analysis.Results showed that the pearl river mouth area exists obvious west boundary flow,and average surface flow from east to west is strengthened from the point of the mean annual average current.The results of three representative stations showed that the annual surface current at H1 station basically presents the trend of NNE-SSW while the trend of H2 and H3 is chaotic throughout the year.The trend of THE annual surface current is dominated by SSW in winter and partial N in summer.EOF analysis revealed that the first mode is dominant in the study area,and U and V components accounted for more than 90%.The first mode is the western boundary current in the northern part of South China Sea,trending from east to west.The second and third modes revealed the characteristics of baroclinic flow,but their values are positive and negative,indicating that the direction of baroclinic flow in different sea areas is not consistent.
