摘要
贝克特戏剧一向被纳入法国荒诞派戏剧的坐标加以考察,而忽略了其对爱尔兰本土戏剧艺术的传承.本论文从爱尔兰戏剧现代化的进程出发考察贝克特戏剧对辛格戏剧的融汇创造.论文具体分析贝克特早期戏剧如何在戏剧人物塑造、场景设计、视觉呈现和戏剧风格类型等方面从辛格戏剧中吸取营养,又如何在总体美学倾向上承继并发扬辛格的诗意戏剧的特色,将爱尔兰戏剧艺术带向欧洲,影响全世界.
Samuel Beckett’s drama is tended to be investigated in the context of Absurd Theatre originated in France,rather than as the part of heritage of Irish drama.This paper is to understand Beckett’s drama in the context of modernization of Irish drama,to explore how Beckett absorbs J.M.Synge’s art of drama and develops it into his own from five aspects,(specifically,the character identity,scene design,visual image,drama genre and the poetic quality of drama)to lead to the conclusion that it is Samuel Beckett who inherits Synge’s art of drama and brings the art of Irish drama to Europe and the whole world,which helps further the modernization of Irish drama.
