摘要
英汉习语在文化背景、形象比喻、风俗习惯以及联想等方面的表达各不相同 ,它们充分体现了各自文化背景的不同文化内涵。了解它们之间的异同 ,找出其翻译规律 ,是提高我们英汉文化素养的主要途径之一。
There are some differences in English-Chinese idioms in cultural background,figure in images,custom and habit and association.They reflect their different cultural meanings in different cultural background.It is one of the necessary ways of improving our cultural accomplishment in English and Chinese in order to grasp the cultural variations and the regularity of translation.
