The algorithm for post process of gas chromatography/ mass spectral data was reviewed in this paper. The development, shortcoming and advantage of method devised by Biller and Biemann named ' point parameter and by Dromey called the 'model peak parameter' were described respectively. The tend of alogrithm for post process of gas chromatography/mass spectral data was also discussed.
