在20世纪20年代科技高度发达的社会里,人类的精神领域已被技术理性主义控制而产生了异化。《了不起的盖茨比》在某些程度上展现了理性与非理性的交锋,透过叙述者尼克的眼光表达了作者对理性主义抹杀人本能的非理性力量的斥责。
In the American society of the 1920s with science and technology highly developed,the spiritual domain of humans had been controlled by technological rationalism and thus been alienated.To a certain extent,The Great Gatsby represents the contradictions between rationalism and irrationalism and expresses the author’s reprimands on the obliteration of humans’ instinct and irrational energy by rationalism through the vision of the narrator nick.
