摘要
After surveying a set of bronze vessels such as long-necked and shouldered Zen, Lei, Bu and etc andanalyzing the shape Taotie design, the head of sacrificial animals, ridge of the bronze vessels. The Authorof this paper found that bronze vessels of Late Shan dynasty unearthed from Hunan Province and HubeiProvince in the middle Yantze river valley area are derived from the bronze vessels of Mid-Shan of CentralPlain with regard to shaping, decoration idealism and technique tradition. Though they maintained certainrelationship with the contemporary bronze vessels of yinxu, the Bronzes from Mid-Yantze river area havetheir own characteristics different from those of Yinxu and have a distinct evolution trajectory of their own.It is safe to say that they are indigenous to Mid-Yantze river area and are the products of regional development.
