英语反义词对可分为三类 ,即 :双分反义词对、等级反义词对和相对反义词对。通过对英语反义词对中的标记性的分析可以发现 :(1)第一类和第二类中的标记性有许多相同之处 ,但前者可以从上下义关系角度研究 ,而后者却不行 ;(2 )
This paper examines marking in English antonyms, including binary antonyms, gradable antonyms, and converses. Marking in binary antonyms and marking in gradable antonyms are similar in many aspects, but there are differences as well. The most important one is that the former involves hyponymy but the latter does not. Marking in converses had better be treated as dominance.
