在常用的雷达波频率范围内,军用直升机桨毂系统具有数平方米~数十平方米水平的雷达散射截面,不满足隐身要求。采用具有全反射性能的桨毂整流罩对某共轴式直升机桨毂系统进行屏蔽,在S、C、X、Ku波段,HH和VV极化,仰角-30°~30°范围,使其RCS峰值降低到-10dBm2以下,RCS均值在-11~-18dBm2之间,而对直升机升力影响很小,碳纤维复合材料桨毂整流罩重量约为70kg。
The rotor hub systems of armed helicopters present an RCS on the order of several to tens of square meters within commonly used radar frequency spectrum and are thus not stealthy.A fully reflective hub fairing was mounted on the hub of a co-axial helicopter to cover the hub signature.In S,C,X,and Ku band with both HH and VV polarization and within an incidence angle of ±30 degrees such modification reduces the hub's RCS peak value to below-10dBsm,with an average value of-11 to-18 dBsm.The carbon-fiber composite hub fairing weighs around 70kg and does not interfere with the lift generation of the rotors.
