通识教育背景下的科学史教育功能探析 被引量:21

On the Educational Functions of the History of Science under the Background of General Education

摘要 通识教育是当今大学教育的发展趋势,它由中世纪博雅教育发展而来,旨在培养健全的个人和负责任的公民。要实现这一目标,必须对大学课程进行设计,以建立能够适应通识教育要求的课程体系。作为一门课程,科学史能够满足通识教育培养学生的核心要求,是通识教育不可或缺的核心课程。科学史融入通识教育有一个发展演变的过程。为适应通识教育要求,对科学史课程也要进行针对性的改革。 General education,evolved from liberal arts education in the Middle Ages,has now become the trends of university education.In the 19th century,universities took cultivating students into gentlemen as their duty and paid great attention to the liberal education.It the 20th century,the idea of liberal education was gradually replaced by that of general education.General education takes the cultivating student into not only a person with sound in mind and body but also a citizen who is willing to hold himself responsible to the society as its task.In order to fulfill the task,it is necessary to redesign the university curriculum so as to construct a course system which could satisfy the need of general education.As a course in university,the history of science can meet the core demands of general education.It has become a core course of general education today,which also needs to be improved so as to meet the further demands of general education.
