摘要
从词汇学角度看,汉英"马"字在词性上都可以做名词和形容词,但英语中的"马"字还可做动词。在词义上,汉语"马"字不如英语的"马"字丰富。在语法特征上,两者都可做定语、主语和宾语,但英语中的"马"字还可做谓语。在构词上,汉语"马"字的要求比英语"马"字灵活,因而汉语中带"马"字的成语较英语为多。
Under lexicological analysis,both the Chinese and English words for ' horse' can be a noun or an adjective,while the English word can also be a verb.Semantically the Chinese word is less heavily loaded as the English ' horse'.Syntactically,both the English and the Chinese ' horse' can function as the attribute,subject,and object,while the English horse can also function as the predicate.In terms of phrase formation,the Chinese word is more active as many Chinese idioms have ' horse' in them.
