From textually reflecting upon the feminist spirits hidden on the female characters in the hit film The Joy Luck Club from three aspects---first-generation Chinese mothers’ awakening consciousness of patriarchy oppression in old China, second-generation American daughters’ fighting against various hegemonies in America, the inheritance of the three generations’ continuous feminism, a conclusion is drawn that the fight against all kinds of patriarchy hegemonies have never stopped literally regardless of time and nationality.
