摘要
本文以系统功能语法理论为框架,从系统和功能两方面对现代汉语物质过程小句的及物性系统作综合性考察,为这一类小句的语义选择和句法结构提供一种新的描写方法。本文主要根据过程的参与者数目、性质及其构成划分物质过程小句及物性类别,并将它们纳人一个各子系统互相作用、既有区别又有联系的系统网络,从而为这一类小句的计算机生成提供一个以语义为本、辅之以结构的计算语言学模式──一个具有语义特征与句法结构相结合、集词汇一语法为一体的系统网络。
This paper explores the transitivity system in material clauses in Mandarin Chinese from the point of viewof system and function within the theoretical framework of Systemic Functional Grammar It provides a newdescription of the semantic choices and syntactic structures of this type of clause in Mandarin Chinese.The classification of transitivity types and sub-types of material clause in this study is based on thenumber and nature of participant roles involved in the process, and their configuration. The transitivitytypes are integrated into a system network in which the sub-systems are related to each other bothcontrastively and interactively. This in turn provides a semantically oriented computational linguisticmodel for the computer generation of material clauses that takes structure into account as well as function.The system network is characterized by its combination of semantic features and syntactic strutures, andits integration of lexico-grammar into the semantic system of the language.
