摘要
标记概念在语言分析的各个层面上均有解释作用，在语义层面上也不例外。本文在研讨标准标记理论的基础上，通过比较其他层面上的相应现象，研讨层级性反义词的语义标记问题，着重对这类词的无标记项常态作出精细的描写，以区别于其他反义词。然后，尝试解释无标记项的成因、标记程度、中和现象以及标记的功能。
The notion of markedness is useful on all levels of linguistic analysis, including semantics. On the basis of a review of the standard theory and a discussion of the relevant phenomena on other levels, this paper explores the semantic markedness as .shown in gradable antonyms, focusing its attention especially on the usual state of the unmarked members of these antonyms, which is distinct from that of other kinds of antonym. The paper ends with a discussion on the motivation, variable degrees, neutralization and function of the semantic markedness.
