摘要 一、研究目的 远程教育研究是以远程教育中的问题为对象,采用一种或多种教育科学研究的方法,通过系统的研究过程,探索和揭示远程教育的客观规律。研究的过程包括七个阶段:识别研究问题;评阅文献资料;进行研究设计和确定研究方法;收集数据/资料;分析数据/资料;作出结论;撰写研究报告。然而,在教育科学研究中。 This study analyses 15 textbooks of educational research methods in Great Britain, USA, Australia, China's Mainland and Taiwan. It has been found from this study that the research classifications in education are confusing. The authors of these textbooks mixed up the types of research, the methods of research and techniques of data analysis. The present author proposes a new research classification in distance education. Based on the purpose, research in distance education could be classified into basic research, applied research, e-valuation research, action research and research and development. Based on the methodology, research in distance education could be classified into qualitative research and quantitative research. Based on specific methods, research in distance education could be classified into document study, historical study, interview, questionnaire survey, observation, quasi-experimental method, and experimental method. A research project is often conducted through a combination of several methods.
