Abstract:The economies of China’s national minority areas are differentfrom those of the interior and coastal areas which are inhabited predominantly by the Han people.The characteristics of China’s national minorities’economies are:low start-point,slow development,greater divergence, low -level of socialized probuction,limited commodity exchange and undeveloped market system.However,the minorities areas have a great economic potential both for development and investment.This will increasingly attract people’s attention.
