摘要
本文从语言学、社会语言学的角度讨论什么是地道英语、什么是地道英语语法，作者指出：地道英语有不同的表现形式，符合规范语法的不一定地道，不符合规范语法的不一定不地道。文章分析了地道英语几种表现形式——正式标准、非正式标准。
From the viewpoint of linguistics and sociolinguistics, the paper discusses what counts as idiomatic English and its grammar, indicating that idiomatic English has different varieties and, the English in occurrence with standard grammatical forms is not necessarily idiomatic and that not with the standard is not necessarily unidiomatic. And the paper analyses the grammatical features of the idiomatic English varieties — formal standard, informal standard and vernacular dialects.
