摘要
照格庄遗址位于山东省牟平县城东南约1.5公里,东距照格庄村0.5公里,西北约1公里处为抗日战争时期胶东著名战斗遗址"雷神庙"。遗址西侧有一条南北流向的小河沟。
The Zhaogezhuang Site is situated about 1.5 km southeast of the seat of Mouping County, Shandong Province and about 6.5 km south of the coast of the Yellow Sea. It was excavated in October and November, 1979, with a total area of 280 sq. m. opened up. 43 ash pits and 3 ditches were discovered and over 400 pieces of pottery and stone, bone and shell tools were unearthed. A single bronze awl was also yielded. The cultural character of the site corresponds roughly to that of the site at Dongyueshi Village in Pingdu County in the same Province. Being pure culturally, it belongs to the Yueshi Culture. Most of the pottery is sandy ware and falls into three types: the yan-steamer, the guan-pot and the pen-basin. All the rest, about one third of the total is clay ware, chiefly grey in colour, with a part being black on the surface. In shape, the pottery is characterized by flat-based containers, though there are ring-footed ones and tripods. The most remarkable vessels are the pots with three tongue-shaped feet and a male mouth for the female lid. As for decorations, most of the pottery is undecorated. Polished objects occur only in the black-surfaced ware and rarely in the sandy ware. The most common designs are concave and convex bow-string, incised, impressed and appliqued patterns. There are also a number of red-and pink-painted vessels and a few ones of hard ware with impressed or incised cloud-thunder patterns and kui-dragon-like designs. Another important discovery at the site is the deer, sheep and pig blades with drilled or burnt marks for scalpulimancy.Five C-14 dates indicate that the site goes back to 1890—1745 B. C. (calibrated), thus being later than the Shandong Longshan culture ond roughly contemporary with the Xia Dynasty. It can be concluded that the site belongs to the culture of the Dong I People who lived in this region during that period.
