摘要
文章通过口译与语言学研究实例、会议语言的特点分析,阐述了"词语对等"在会议口译中至关重要这一论点。研究表明,"词语对等"的随时获得是实现译文"功能对等"的基础。此外,还对文化词语的对等作了初步探讨,提出文化对应词语的建立包括发言人对文化差异的兼顾、听众对异域文化的了解和口译员的文化传播三方面的因素。
Based on examples and cases of interpreting and linguistics study,and analysis of the features of conference languages,the paper explores the importance of 'equivalent words' in conference interpretation.Results indicate that to automate the 'equivalent terms and expressions' is the precondition for the achievement of 'functional equivalence'.It is suggested that the establishment of equivalent cultural words should incorporate three factors: cultural mediation by the sender,intercultural awareness of the receivers,and cultural transmission by the interpreter.
