摘要
二维地理信息系统(Geographic Information System,GIS)在处理许多三维问题(如:电磁、气象、地质等)时,很难精确地反映、分析或显示有关信息。如果能将相关地理信息三维可视化,则这些问题通常将变得清晰、直观。在分析大规模地形可视化方法,研究多分辨率GIS矢量数据模型构建、组织及实时调度算法,GIS矢量数据三维可视化方法的基础上,提出一个利用二维GIS数据实现三维虚拟环境快速构建与绘制的系统框架,设计并实现了一个大规模GIS数据三维可视化系统——GeoSprite。
It is difficult for 2D GIS to reflect, analyze or even display the relevant information precisely when dealing with 3D problems such as electromagnetism, meteorology and geology. 3D visualization of the geographic information usually makes these problems clear and intuitive. A framework for visualization of 3D virtual environments using GIS data is proposed based on thorough research of 3D visualization of Large-scale terrain scene, an approach for construction, organization and scheduling large-scale GIS vector data, and a method for 3D visualization of GIS vector data. And then a 3D visualization of large-scale GIS data system named GeoSprite is designed and implemented.
