摘要
在这篇短文中,作者试图通过《克林顿面对国民》一文来分析隐含与主题之间的关系。简言之,主题可以在隐含中得以体现、推进、照应、转移和渗透。充分利用隐含的特征,对发话者而言,无疑是明智之举;同样,对读者而言,通过分析隐含与关系来听出弦外之音,也是一种有趣的尝试。
Abstract: In this short essay, the author tries to demonstrate the relationship between implicature and topic through Clinton Faces The Nation. Briefly, implicatures may topicalize, anaphorize, advance, shift and penestrate into a certain topic. It is certainly a wise idea to make such use of implicatures for the speaker, so as it is an interesting approach to get more out of what is said thanheard by analyzing the relationship between implicature and topic.
