摘要 应用商品化的英语朗读软件(TTS)制作英语有声材料既有必要性也有可能性.这一实验采用了专业的语音分析与语音编辑软件,并从声语音学的角度对实验结果作了详细、客观的分析.分析方法主要是将自然语音和合成语音作比较,这种对比是依据对各个波形图、音高图的观察分析,而不是依赖文字描述.TTS技术的不断完善使其应用前景变得更为广阔,但目前应用于英语教学领域仍处于试验阶段,其效果也不尽如人意. It is necessary and possible to apply commercial TTS technology to TESL audiotape preparation. Some professional software is involved in the experiment process. In the manner of acoustic phonetics, a comparison is made between natural speech and synthesized speech by visualizing both as waveforms and pitch contours. These telltale pictures explain more clearly how they sound different than words which may lead to vagueness. With the improvements in speech synthesis, the future of TTS technology seems promising, however, its present application in the TESL domain is experimental and far from perfect.
