Active control of wall his is important in both application and basic researches. In order to establish a solid background for the expected application,it is necessary to perform detailed studies on the base nows,on their stability characteristics and on the identification technique of coherent structures. This paper is a summarizing article rather than a detailed technical report, Its main purpose is just to introduce the recent progress in the related area.
