摘要
在人类的语言中,无论是英语还是中文,都包含了大量的动物作为语言习语的意象,但由于文化背景和历史发展等的差异,英语习语中的动物意象翻译成中文时,有时会发生变化。文章通过分析英语习语中的几个常用的动物意象,总结英语学习者在翻译中应当注意的几点问题。
In human being’s languages,no matter English or Chinese,there are a large amount of animals used as some images in languages’ idioms.But because of the differences between the cultural background,historical development and many others,the images of animals in English idioms sometimes may be different ones when they are translated into Chinese.This essay aims to make a conclusion on several problems,by analyzing a few frequently-used animals’ images,which should be concerned by the English learners when doing translation works.
