摘要
米兰·昆德拉与卡尔维诺不仅用风格独特的创作推动现代小说的发展,也对现代小说进行了深入的理论思考。在对欧洲现代社会状况和小说艺术的双重把握的基础上,他们一致强调轻盈、复调、幻想、游戏以及百科全书式对当代小说发展的意义。此外,昆德拉倡导探索存在之谜和嘲讽时代的小说精神,卡尔维诺则强调形式创新、视觉幻想的作用。他们的创作和理念都标志着欧洲小说从现代走向后现代的鲜明特征。
Milan Kundera and Calvino advanced the modern fiction with their characteristic writings,and both of them have deep thinking about modern fiction.They have clear idea about the modern society as well as the fiction arts,and so they emphasize the importance of lightness,polyphone,fantasy,free play and encyclopedia in modern fiction.Besides that,Kundera foregrounds the fiction spirit of exploring the riddle of Being and that of ironizing modern time,while Calvino emphasizes the importance of the creation of new form and visual fantasy.Both of their fictions and ideas mark the road to postmodernism for the western fiction.
