双边网络环境下开放与封闭平台的竞争:以移动操作系统平台为例 被引量:17

Competition Between Open and Closed Platform Under Two-Sided Network,Taking Mobile Operating System as an Example

摘要 封闭的苹果iOS操作系统与开放的谷歌Android操作系统的市场竞争态势已受到理论界与实业界的广泛关注。本文基于双边市场理论,分析了移动操作系统市场的特点,构建了开放和封闭平台战略下的双边平台网络结构,模拟了双边网络环境下开放和封闭平台的竞争格局。结果表明:(1)硬件厂商数量决定了开放与封闭平台在双边客户资源占有量上的差异,当硬件厂商数量很少时,封闭平台的资源占有量及产生利润都较高,而当硬件厂商数量很大时,开放平台将占据大部分双边客户资源,获得竞争优势;(2)无论在位者选择封闭或开放,后进入者都应当依据厂商数量的多少进行封闭或开放的策略选择。 The market competition situation between closed Apple iOS system and open Google Android system has attracted widespread attention in both theory and business circle.Based on two-sided market theory,the characteristic of mobile operating system is analyzed by constructing,constructed the two-sided network of platform under open or closed strategy,and the competition is also simulated between open and closed platform under two-sided network environment.The results shows that:(1) quantity of hardware firms determines the difference that open and closed platform will have on two-sided users resource quantity,that means when there' re few hardware firms in the market,closed platform has advantage on resource quantity and profits,while there' re large quantity of hardware firms,it is open platform who will take most of the two-sided user resource and has more competitionadvantage.(2) No matter the first mover is open or closed,the second mover should make strategic choice depending on the hardware firms quantity.
