摘要
由于语言文化、思维意识等方面差异,苏童小说《米》部分意象在翻译成英文过程中遭遇冲突、扭曲,甚至发生变形,原文在译文中磨损的部分正是目的语无法重现原文广度、深度的表现。英文读者依据自身的阅读习惯以独特的异域视角解读其中意象寓意,使原文生长出新的生命力,并以新的面貌和姿态出现在他国文学和世界文学之中。《米》在英语世界里的译介、接受、传播过程是其审美价值被解构之后的重构过程,彰显出苏童小说所蕴含的深厚的原生态美学张力、审美价值的延伸性和可塑性,以及以苏童为代表的中国当代小说内在坚实的精神力量和文化内核,同时补足了西方对中国元素、中国文学的想象。
Some imagery in Rice by Su Tong is to some extent changed or even lost in the process of transla‐tion ,because there is difference and disparity between two languages and culture .Otherwise ,it reflects that the translated text doesn’t completely reproduce aesthetics and theme of the original story .On the other hand ,the target readers explore the reshaped imagery in the translated text according to their read‐ing habits ,which produces new meanings from the original story .As a matter of fact ,the process of translation ,acceptance and spreading is reconstruction of aesthetics deconstructed in Rice and also it is an imagination of China within the western vision .
