摘要
本文提出了一个用误差向后传播算法拟合地震烈度衰减关系的方法。借助于这一方法可将地震烈度作为一有序分类变量而非数值型的连续变量处理,并可对长、短半轴两个距离项同时拟合衰减关系。 为了说明所建议方法的实用性,也介绍了实际拟合的中国东部地区地震烈度衰减关系的结果,并与常用的统计关系作了比较。
In this paper, a procedure to establish macro-intensity attenuation relationship by means of the error back propagation approach is presented. The basic idea is that macro-intensity as a classified variable with a decimal like 6. 2 may not be widely accepted and Ⅶ - Ⅵ≠ Ⅷ- Ⅶ, so that the sum of squares of remaining errors in least square method would be thought meaningless. It is also more appropriate to take distance as dependent variable,and to fit the relationship for both major and minor axes simultaneously,considering the application of an elliptical attenuation model in calculating probability in seismic hazard analysis. An energy function is defined aswhere Yuare expected output values of distance term,log10(a+a0) and log10(b+b0) for i = 1,2,respectively;X0=1,X1, is magnitude term,X2, to X9. are terms for intensity Ⅳ to Ⅺ ,and Wij's are coefficients to be fitted. Given the initial values of Wij,the error back propagation approach could modify all values systematically many times to reduce E. until it is less than an acceptable value.A set of intensity attenuation relationships for eastern part of China are also presented to illustrate the reliability of the suggested idea.
