摘要
自上世纪90年代以来,语法在外语教学中的地位再次引起了学者们的关注。以形式为中心的明示语法教学被以意义为中心的暗示语法教学所取代后,随着语法教学地位的恢复,以形式为主导的明示语法教学大有复辟的趋势。诚然,这不是简单地恢复到过去的传统语法形式教学上去。本文在讨论了语法地位的历史变迁后,重点阐述了明示性(explicit)语法教学和暗示性(implicit)语法教学的理论背景及各自的主张,期望通过这种讨论能发现语法教学的发展趋势。
The role of grammar in foreign language teaching and learning has once again aroused researchers' attention since the 1990's. The form-focused explicit instruction was replaced by the meaning-oriented implicit instruction during a certain period, but then the explicit instruction began to revive in the 1990's as grammar's role was recognized with a new perspective. Based on such background, this paper dwells upon the linguistic theories of both implicit and explicit grammar instruction in an attempt to explore the trend for the development of grammar instruction in TEFL.
