摘要
英语连词作为一种结构词,其功能意义明显强于其词汇意义。英语句法关系重形合,汉语句法结构多用意合。只有连词才能充分体现出英汉之间形合与意合的差别。英汉语之间的形意转化,关键也在连词的处理上。本文简要谈了英语连词的特点、英汉两种语言形合与意合的差别,并在此基础上探讨了英语连词的汉译方法,如省译与增补、转译等。
As a structural word, an English conjunction has its more apparent structural meaning. It is a conjunction that reflects fully the differences of English hypotaxis and Chinese a parataxis. A conjunction is also the key to the conversion of hypotaxis to parataxis. Starting with a brief discussion of the features of English conjunctions and the difference between English hypotaxis and Chinese parataxis, this present paper concentrates on the translation method of English conjunctions.
