摘要
过去的大众文艺意在利用人民大众所喜闻乐见的艺术形式来宣传和普及某种意识形态，而目前的大众文艺则是要在娱乐中对意识形态进行解构。故两者的不同，并不在于“戏说”或“正说”，而在于对文艺的社会作用和文艺与生活关系的看法不同。时下的大众文艺为了迎合大众，意在逗乐，而不计其他。但文艺还是应起到国民精神的灯火作用的。
In the Past, literary and artistic works for the masses made use of those forms popular with the peo-ple to propagate and popularize certain ideology; today they are meant to decompose it through recreation and a-musement. The difference hetween past and present therefore lies not in whether it is 'playful interpretation' or'truthful interpretation,,' but in the changed attitudes towards the social function of literature and art and the rela-tionship between 1iterature -- art and life. At present, popuIar literature and art cater to the masses; they are meantto amuse and entertain. Nevertheless, literature and art should still play the role of a lighl for national spirit.
