平遥古城作为世界文化遗产 ,其形成有特殊的文化背景———晋商文化 .作为中国古代城市建设的杰出作品 ,平遥古城无论从城市规划、城墙建筑、城市街区布局等诸多方面都包含着极其深刻的文化因素 ,而作为中国北方汉民居的代表 。
The old city of Pingyao, which was one of the world's cultural heritages, has a special cultural background-the historic culture of Shanxi merchants. As an excellent work of urban construction in old China, Pingyao embodies the profound cultural essence ranging from the urban design to the city-wall construction and the block layouts. As a symbol of Chinese Han ethnic settlements in the north, Pingyao exhibits the Chinese living conception with its Si He Yuan Houses to people today.
