摘要
The Tangganshan manganese deposit is a typical one among the stratabound manganese deposits. The proeurser is a sedimentary deposit, and later it was altered by granite activity, thus forming a multigenctic deposit as is seen at present. On the basis of its occurrence, mineral association and geochemical features, four types of manganese ore are distinguished: manganese carbonate, alabandite, manganese sillcate, and manganese oxide. Of these four types, the alabandite ore is a rare type newly discovered recently. In this paper the authors discussed in more detail this deposit from the following aspects : its geology, ore type, ore mineralogy .and geochemistry.

The procursor is a sedimentary deposit, and later it was altered by granite activity, thus forming a multigenetic deposit as is seen at present. On the basis of its occurrence, mineral association and geochemieal features, four types of manganese ore are distinguished: manganese carbonate, alabandite, manganese silicate, and manganese oxide. Of these four types, the alabandite ore is a rare type newly discovered recently. In this paper the authors discussed in more detail this deposit from the following aspects: its geology, ore type, ore mineralogy and geochemistry.
