摘要
基于英语语料库Brown - j,Lob - j① 和Slesson② 的调查 ,And连接两个或两个以上的句子。本文试图就句头And作逻辑联系语所表示的逻辑 语义关系进行分类和概括 ;对句首And在语料库Slesson和97MET③ 之间所表示的逻辑 语义关系进行对照 ;目的在于揭示中国学生英语初学者对And充当逻辑联系语并置于句首并不熟练这一事实 ;同时提出它对中学外语教学的启示。
砊his present paper attempts to classify and generalize the logical-semantic relations of And used as a logical connector. Based on the Slesson, Brown-j and Lob-j Corpus, And links two or more than two sentences. It makes a detailed comparison about the logical-semantic relations that And signals between the Slesson and 97 MET corpus. It aims at exploring the fact that primary EFL learners of Chinese middle schools are not proficient at And used as a logical connector and as an initiator of a sentence. After that, the paper also presents its implications to the EFL teaching and learning in middle school. 〔
