摘要
从对殷商甲骨文、金文的研究中可以看到 ,在殷商的祭礼中有用文章典册祭祀祖先神灵的内容。从《周礼》、《礼记》等古代文籍中看 ,周代亦仍有以文章典籍祭祀祖先神灵的情况。因而 ,文祭应是殷周祭礼中的一项重要内容。《周礼》、《礼记》中有“羹献”、“玉献”、“饩献”、“禽献”、“币献”等祭品名称 ,“文献”一词的构词法与它们相同 ,因而“文献”亦应为祭品之一种 ,即用以祭祀祖先神灵的文章典籍名。自郑玄以来对古“文献”一词的解释当是错误的。
It can be seen from studies of tortoise shells of Shang Dynasty and inscriptions on ancient bronze objects that there was a memorial ceremony that offering literature works as sacrifices for ancestors-spirits, this kind of memorial ceremony can also be found from ancient books as “Zhou Li” and “Li Ji”. So literary memorial ceremony should be an important content of memorial ceremony in Yi-Zhou Dynasty. A lot of oblation-names such as broth, jade, grain, birds and money were found from “Zhou Li” and “Li Ji”, literature was also found being used in the same way as the above oblations, so literature should be a kind of oblations. The explanation of “literature” since Zheng Xuan is possibly wrong.
